Galatasaray Erkek Basketbol Takımı, oyuncu Jose Estevam Ferreira ile yollarını ayırdı.

Galatasaray Basketbol Şubesi'nden yapılan açıklamaya göre, sezon başında transfer edilen Brezilya Milli Takım oyuncusu Jose Estevam Ferreira'nın sözleşmesi karşılıklı olarak feshedildi. Bu gelişme sonrasında Ferreira'nın mevkisi için yabancı oyuncu arayışına giren Şube yetkilileri, Dallas Üniversitesi'nden Andy Steven Slocom'u denemek için Türkiye'ye getirdi. Transferi ile ilgili son durum yarın netlik kazanacak olan 1982 doğumlu, 2.10 boyundaki Slocom'la anlaşma sağlanamaması halinde ise başka yabancı oyuncularla irtibata geçileceği bildirildi.

Ayrıca, Galatasaray Basketbol Takımı oyuncularından Orhan Güler, geçici bonservisle 2. Lig D Grubu'nda mücadele eden Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyesi'ne kiralık olarak verildi.
 
Ferreira'nın dil sorunu vb. nedenlerle faydalı olamayacağı belli olmuştu.Yeni gelecek yabancımız da diğer 3 yabancımız gibi iyi çıkarsa çok güzel olur.Slocom da diğerleri gibi genç.Orhan ise tam bir hayal kırıklığı yarattı.Ama her ne olursa olsun bir 2. lig takımına kiralık verilmesi ona bir saygısızlık.Belki performansını yükseltebilirse geri alırız.

Slocum sentenced to 90 days in jail

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Texas A&M basketball player Andy Slocum was sentenced to 90 days in jail after pleading no contest to charges of steroid possession.


Slocum -- not related to former Texas A&M football coach R.C. Slocum -- was sentenced Thursday. He will begin serving his term on June 2.


"It appears you are being shown some leniency by the state,'' District Judge Rick Davis told Slocum of the plea agreement, which prosecutors said was adequate.


Slocum was arrested Jan. 18 when police found a bag of syringes and vials in his truck. Originally charged with third-degree felony steroid possession, prosecutors agreed to reduce the charges.


Prosecutors later agreed to reduce the charges and Slocum, who pleaded no contest, was suspended indefinitely from the basketball team.


In addition to jail time, Slocum was placed on probation for a year. He also must pay a $500 fine and perform 50 hours of community service.


"You are at a fork in the road,'' Davis said. "I fully expect you to reform your conduct. This is unacceptable.''


Defense attorney Jim James said Slocum is a "wonderful kid'' who he hopes "can get on with his life.''


The 7-foot, 265-pound junior missed the first seven games of last season while recovering from back surgery. He also missed the entire 2000-01 season because of a shoulder injury.

Bu transferi çok hatalı buluyorum. AMa oyuncunun özelliklerinden dolayı değil.

Yanlışları yanlış adımlarla düzeltmeye, günü kurtarmaya çalışıyorlar. Biz bu adamı aldık diyelim, çokda iyi çıktı. Maçta kazandırdı. Ama bir ay sonra maddi sorunlardan ayrılmasına kim mani olabilir.

Hala oyuncuların ödemelerinde problemler var. Öncelikle bunlar halledilmeli. Oyuncu getirmek, transfer etmek kolay iş. Ama getirilip parasızlıktan dolayı oyuncuların ayrılması, kulübümüzün imajını, güveniriliğini yaralıyor, sarsıyor. Yöneticiler, teknik heyet transfer yapmak için oyuncu getirmesin.

Öncelikle şuan kadrodaki oyunculara olan taahütler yerine getirilmeli. Onlar elde edilmeli. Scolum derken Boddicker'i kaçırmayalım. Yerli oyuncularımızı mutsuz kılmayalım. Kafası rahat, mutlu bir Arda en iyi yabancıdan daha faydalı olur bu takıma.

Diyelim ki takımda ödeme sorunu yok. Yeni yabancı oyuncu içinde para var.

Uyuşturucu hap taşımaktan hapis yatmış,basketbol oynaması yasaklanmış bir adam Galatasaray'a transfer olabiliyor.Biz de seviniyoruz.

Ligden de düşsek,yerlerde de sürünsek,oyuncu da bulamasak böyle bir adamın Galatasaray'da olması çok büyük ayıptır.
 
Ben de doğru bulmuyorum bu transferi. İsterse baba basketçi olsun böyle bir suçtan hüküm giyen birinin takımda yeri olmamalı. Hapçı oyuncuya kaldık yuh ki ne yuh. Parasızlığı bahane edip hırsızlık yapanlardan ne farkımız kalıyor?
 
Bu arada tam olarak uyusturucu degil anladigim kadariyla.Yasak madde kullanmis.Buyuk ihtimallede doping cezasi.Zaten normal bir insan bu kadar sisemez.
Transfer biraz mecburiyetten yapiliyor tabiiki.Bakalim bu transfer yuzunden kimin parasi gidicek.
