Injury Update and Looking Forward
The Lynx gladly welcomed back guard Candice Wiggins from a torn meniscus, as she made her season debut last Tuesday against Phoenix. From the moment she stepped on the floor, she brought energy and an offensive spark, scoring eight points, including two 3-pointers in 15 minutes of play.
Minnesota has yet to activate perennial All-Star Seimone Augustus, who is still recovering from abdominal surgery. Augustus, who averages 21 points per game in her career, hopes to return sometime mid-June. Once the Lynx add Augustus to their offensive repertoire, things could be dangerous for the rest of the league.
Although the Lynx currently stand in fifth place of the Western Conference with a record of 2-5, don't be surprised to see Minnesota near the top of the standings at the end of the month.
